ITZY dropped mini album 'Motto' on May 18 and its MV topped YouTube's worldwide trending chart for three consecutive days after release.

ITZY released their new mini album Motto and its title track on May 18 at 6 p.m. KST, and the accompanying music video held the No. 1 spot on YouTube's Music Video Trending Worldwide chart for three straight days from the moment it went live.
The album's central concept is built around the phrase "even so, I choose myself" — a motto framing self-belief as the force that carries a person forward through uncertainty. That message extends a thread ITZY has maintained since their debut single "Dalla Dalla," which established the group's signature "respect and love yourself" identity.
The music video visualizes that arc structurally: set images accumulate and merge throughout the video, forming a castle wall. A collage sequence in the latter half leads to a completed castle in the final moments — one whose design incorporates set elements from ITZY's previous music videos, presenting every past choice and era as a layer in what the group has become. Members begin inside the castle, accepting anxiety and uncertainty with composure, then move outside the walls to perform a group dance, signaling growth.
With the Motto comeback underway, ITZY's world tour TUNNEL VISION — which opened in Seoul in February 2026 — continues globally. Solo concert dates are scheduled from June onward in Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, and Manila. On June 23 local time, the group will headline Mawazine, a major music festival held in Rabat, Morocco.
