BOYNEXTDOOR's 'VIRAL' holds Melon weekly chart for 2nd straight week as 'HOME' sweeps Japan rankings

'VIRAL' has now charted in Melon's weekly top 40 for two consecutive weeks. The title track from BOYNEXTDOOR's first full album HOME, released June 8, landed at No. 37 on Melon's June 15–21 weekly chart — announced June 22. Three other tracks from the same album also placed: digital single 오늘만 I LOVE YOU (released early last year) at No. 60, pre-release 똑똑똑 (May 11) at No. 86, and ADIOS! at No. 96.

On the daily side, VIRAL hit No. 29 on Melon's June 21 chart. It reached No. 13 on Apple Music's Top 100: South Korea on June 20 and No. 25 on Spotify Korea's Daily Top Songs. Members Myungjae-hyun (명재현) and Unhak (운학) co-wrote the track, which expresses the group's wish for their music to reach more listeners. It already picked up a No. 1 trophy on KBS2's Music Bank.

HOME itself has been doing the heavy lifting on album charts. It went to No. 1 on Circle Chart's weekly album chart (June 7–13), topped both Billboard Japan's Top Album Sales and Hot Albums (June 8–14), and swept Oricon's Weekly Album Ranking and Weekly Combined Album Ranking. The album is BOYNEXTDOOR's fourth consecutive million-seller.

The six-member group (Sungho, Riwoo, Myungjae-hyun, Taesan, Leehan, Unhak) from HYBE Label KOZ Entertainment also swept four awards at the 35th Seoul Music Awards on June 20 at Inspire Arena in Incheon Yeongjongdo: Best Album, Main Award, World Best Artist, and R&B Hip-Hop Award.

A remix rollout is already underway. VIRAL (SANTOS BRAVOS Remix) dropped June 22, with further collaborations from various artists to follow sequentially.
