izna dropped their third mini album on June 8, led by house-rhythm title track 'METRONOME' and a showcase at Blue Square in Seoul.

izna are back. The six-member group — My, Bang Ji-min, Coco, Yu Sa-rang, Choi Jung-eun, and Jung Se-bi — released their third mini album SET THE TEMPO on June 8, 2026. Nine months had passed since Not Just Pretty arrived in September 2025.
METRONOME opens the five-track album. It's a house-rhythm song built around carving out your own beat in a chaotic world. The rest: fan song INFINITY (co-written by Bang Ji-min and Yu Sa-rang), R.I.P., ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS, and LEAN ON ME. The album's message is becoming your own standard rather than the one the world sets for you.
At a showcase held the same day at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, members broke down the title track's signature move — already being called the "protractor dance" — where each member hits different angles and speeds within the same sequence. Bang Ji-min said it "wasn't easy to match" but came together through repeated practice. "Choreography that becomes more captivating the more you watch it," she added. Choi Jung-eun noted the dance break pulls in voguing elements, requiring "a lot of practice to match sharp angles."
My said the house genre felt right for showing izna's "power dreamy" performance style. The goal was to match their own color to music that sticks. Bang Ji-min framed the album as a continuation of what the group has been saying since debut: "bold confidence and subjectivity," now sharpened into the conviction to move forward on their own terms.
(Yu Sa-rang also said she wants to take on various genres and concepts going forward — something to clock for whatever era comes next.)
