Pregnant at 44, Kim Min-kyung watches Korea lose to Mexico 0-1 and asks "Why is the referee like that??"

Kim Min-kyung, 44, wasn't about to suffer through South Korea's 0-1 loss to Mexico in silence. She watched the 2026 North and Central America World Cup match live on June 19 and posted a photo with the caption: "Why is the referee like that??"

Coach Hong Myung-bo's team held steady for stretches. Then a defensive mistake handed Mexico the only goal.

The outburst came from someone already stretched thin. Kim announced her pregnancy in April—roughly two years after marrying a non-celebrity man in November 2024—writing, "I never thought I'd be doing an 임밍아웃 at this age." On June 10 she got more specific about how it's going: "My body is so heavy that I wonder if I'm really a pregnant woman now," adding that walking had become difficult, lethargy had set in, her belly felt hard, and she could physically feel its weight. She also mentioned waiting for her husband to return from golf so she could do the laundry. The domestic frustration landed almost as relatable as the referee complaint.

Kim debuted in entertainment after placing in the 2001 Miss Korea pageant. Her drama credits include Mom Got Angry, Ppadam Ppadam, No Children, No Luck, and Eve's Love.
