Lee Jae-yoon joins global thriller 'The Season' as shadow fixer Jon Kim

Lee Jae-yoon is in The Season, a six-episode revenge thriller now streaming on Viu. All episodes dropped simultaneously on June 17. He plays Jon Kim, the Hexst family's invisible hand—the person who makes the old-money clan's ugliest secrets disappear before they reach the outside world.

The show unfolds against Hong Kong's summer high-society circuit. Yacht parties. Horse racing. Charity galas. At the center is the Hexst family and an outsider named Cola (Jessie Mae Li), who infiltrates their world carrying hidden motives. One day after release, The Season ranked first in Hong Kong, second in Indonesia, fourth in Thailand and Malaysia, and fifth in the Philippines on Viu.

PCCW Media produced the series in partnership with SK Global. It was pre-sold to American Hulu and is available on Viu across Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa; on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the Americas; and on Now TV in Hong Kong. Yalun Tu, whose credits include NCIS: Hawaii and HBO Asia, serves as showrunner and executive producer. Marialy Rivas directed the main episodes.

The ensemble cast includes Karina Lam (a three-time Golden Horse Award winner), Chris Pang (Interior Chinatown), Justin Chien (The Brothers Sun), Yvonne Chapman (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Selina Jade (Special Forces: Z Warriors 2), Toby Stephens (Percy Jackson and the Olympians), and Kōki, who received an Asia Rising Star Award. That's a lot of franchise alumni in one room.

Viu, operated by Hong Kong's PCCW, currently airs 신입사원 강회장 and has upcoming releases including 공감세포, 그대에게 드림, and 유일무이 로맨스 on its slate.
