Moon Won releases 'Gidaryeossdeon Sigan,' the proposal song he wrote and performed at his wedding to Shinji

Moon Won released 기다렸던 시간 (Gidaryeossdeon Sigan, "The Time I Waited") through online music platforms at noon on June 10. He wrote and composed the song himself as a proposal for his wife, Shinji.

The track first surfaced on May 2 at their wedding reception. Moon Won performed it live alongside a prepared video for Shinji. The lyrics include the line "이렇게 아름다운 날 지금 이 순간을 네게 선물하는 노래" ("This beautiful day, this moment, I gift this song to you"). He wove in Shinji's real name, Lee Ji-seon, and drew an emotional reaction from the crowd.

The song reached a wider audience on June 9, when it aired on episode 2 of MBN's variety show 남의 집 귀한 가족, through which the couple has been sharing their newlywed life.

Moon Won's catalog leans toward emotionally driven material. Previous tracks include 어떻게 and 잠시 쉬어가기. He released the duet 살라카둘라 (Salagadoola) with Shinji in July of last year. (A proposal song that already made a room cry before it ever hit streaming is a strong opening position.)
