MUSE drop 10th album 'The Wow! Signal' featuring Ellie Goulding on title track 'Hush'

Muse released their 10th studio album, The Wow! Signal, on June 26. The 10-track record pairs with a North American tour kicking off in July — Summerfest in Milwaukee first, then the Quebec Summer Festival in Canada and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The title track is Hush, a feature with Ellie Goulding. The song carries the message "let's forget the world together" and sets intense guitar riffs against restrained piano melodies. People were talking about it before the album even dropped.

The album title pulls from the "Wow! Signal," an unidentified radio signal recorded in 1977. Thematically, the record is built around communication with extraterrestrial civilization, with broader messages about human connection and hope.

Before the full release, Muse put out five pre-release tracks sequentially. Cryogen, out in April, caught the most traction — its guitar riff spread through Korean fan communities and SNS. NME called it "the wailing riff reminiscent of early 2000s Muse and the explosive chorus that devastates arenas."

Formed in 1994, Muse have over 30 million album sales worldwide. Their catalog includes Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, and Black Holes and Revelations, and they took the Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2015 for Drones. Korean fans got their seventh Muse concert last September at Incheon Munhak Stadium's main pitch — no word yet on whether the North American run extends further.
