Netflix's 'Never Been in Love' Season 2 drops July 7 with new chemistry-boosting features

Netflix's 모태솔로지만 연애는 하고 싶어 (roughly, Never Been in Love) Season 2 lands on July 7, roughly a year after Season 1 debuted in the summer of 2025.

The show follows people who have never dated before. Zero relationship experience. Maximum expectations. They attempt their first romance in a makeover dating reality format designed to pull in both empathy and armchair commentary from viewers.

Producer Kim No-eun addressed the core challenge of getting emotionally inexperienced people to actually connect: "If there is nothing, nothing happens, so we worked hard to supplement the chemistry-inducing devices."

Season 2 adds several new structures to move things along. The 5분 책방 (5-minute bookstore) segment now includes a 신간 (new book) system that lets participants check real-time affection levels. The season 1 mailbox has been expanded into a full 모솔 우체국 (virgin singles post office), where cast members can send not just letters but gifts to whoever they're interested in. A 커플링 디너 — couples wearing matching rings and eating together — is also new this season. Special dating courses designed to spark natural conversation and laughter round out the additions. The show is essentially engineering every possible excuse for awkward people to have a moment.
