Paul Kim's Japanese original 'Zombie Loves Matcha' lands on Oricon and Billboard Japan

Zombie Loves Matcha just entered Oricon and Billboard Japan. The song is a chart debut built on an original Japanese track, not a cover.

A zombie hunting for matcha. That's the concept. Upbeat rhythm, bright melody, Paul Kim's soft vocals layered underneath. It follows his first Japanese original single, っちゃめっちゃ会いたい, which captures the rush of heading out to meet someone you love. Both songs take everyday emotions and filter them through his perspective.

Neither track is a localized cover. That signals where his Japan activities are headed. Paul Kim also held his first fan meeting in Japan alongside the new release.

He debuted in 2014. His catalog includes 모든 날, 모든 순간 (Every Day, Every Moment) and 너를 만나 (Meeting You). The Oricon and Billboard Japan entries mark his first charting presence in that market.
