Animated film 'David' drops 'Shalom' MV ahead of July 10 theatrical release

Lotte Entertainment dropped the Shalom music video for the animated film David on July 7. The film opens in theaters nationwide on July 10.

Directed by Phil Cunningham and Brent Doss, David traces an ordinary shepherd boy from his mother's song through his fateful confrontation with the giant Goliath. It's the arc of a boy meeting his destiny as a king.

The track Shalom takes its title from the Hebrew word for peace. Its lyrics include "when lost and afraid, when darkness covers the sunlight," "wherever you go, peace is with you," and "this song will guide you home." A clear young voice carries the song—David's.

Park Bo-gum voices a role in the film. It's his first dubbing project. Actors Jang Gwang and Cha Ji-yeon also joined the dubbing cast.
