Hwang Chi-yeol, 43, held his solo concert on July 4 in Seoul, premiering tracks from his June summer album for the first time live.

Hwang Chi-yeol held his solo concert 2026 황치열 콘서트 'We, Summer' on July 4 at Nodeul Island Live House in Seoul. The show gave fans their first live listen to I LOVE SUMMER, released June 26.
He performed hit singles Byeol-i Doelge and Maeil Deutneun Norae (A Song to Listen to Every Day). He also covered Dalpangi, Dasi Saranghanda Malhalka, and Sakje. Actor Eum Moon-seok and singer Jo Jjaejeu appeared as surprise guests.
Maeil Deutneun Norae first dropped in 2017 and hit No. 1 in the ballad category on monthly charts. The song locked in his status among male solo ballad singers. His five consecutive mini-albums—Be Ordinary, Be Myself, Be My Reason, By My Side, and GIFT—each sold over 100,000 copies in their first week.
I LOVE SUMMER is his debut summer album. The title track We, Summer explores the intensity of a midsummer romance and the ache that lingers once it's over. He released the winter album I LOVE WINTER in 2023 and his third full-length ALL OF ME in 2025. His second full-length, The Four Seasons, came out in 2019.
Hwang debuted in 2006 on the drama Lovers OST with a remake of Gohe. A 2015 appearance on a music entertainment program broadened his reach. Beyond recording, he's worked as a vocal trainer for Infinite, Lovelyz, and NU'EST. He's won multiple times on KBS 2TV's Immortal Songs, placed in the top tier on Chinese music program I Am a Singer 4, and became Korea Tourism Promotion Ambassador in 2018.
