Jeon Yu-jin tops Trotpick female chart; Jo Myung-seop wins Spotlight

Jeon Yu-jin (전유진) claimed first place in the female singer category of Trotpick's July Week 3 voting with 239,630 points. The poll ran July 13–19 and results came July 20.

The four-week tally (June 22–July 19) for the 85th Weekly Event tells a bigger story. Jeon Yu-jin topped the female category again at 926,760 points. Jin Hae-seong led the male category with 2,726,340 points. Moon Tae-jun won Supernova at 467,410 points. All three will see promotional videos on the outdoor digital billboard at Shinhan Bank, 77 Chungjeong-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul from July 30 to August 1.

Jeon was born in 2006. She debuted with the digital single 사랑…하시렵니까? in 2020 after coming through the Pohang Beach National Song Festival. On KBS2's 노래가 좋아 trot special, she placed runner-up in the finals. Then came the win that changed things: MBN's 현역가왕 championship in 2024. That victory brought a commemorative mini-album, Only You (온리유), and a spot in the 2024 현역가왕 national tour. She later judged 현역가왕2. Since signing with J-Label (제이레이블) in October of last year, she has released the KBS2 weekend drama 독수리 5형제를 부탁해! OST 그대도 나처럼, a duet single 이제 내가 지킬게요 with Son Tae-jin (손태진), and tracks 어린 잠 and 가요 가요. She is also currently taking on her first radio DJ role through BTN Radio's 전유진의 괜찮은가요.

Jo Myung-seop (조명섭) won the Spotlight vote for July 13–19 with 17,340 points. His analog tone earned him the nicknames "phonograph voice" and "human phonograph." He first broke through by winning the final championship of KBS1's 노래가 좋아-특별기획 트로트가 좋아 in 2019. He recently signed a new exclusive contract and plans to meet fans nationwide through performances.

The 95th round of Trotpick voting runs July 20–26 with five candidates: Gu Su-kyung (구수경), Gil Ryeo-won (길려원), Yeom Yu-ri (염유리), Chae Su-hyeon (채수현), and Hong Seong-yun (홍성윤). The weekly top finisher from each of the four rounds receives Seodaemun billboard support.
