Lee Hyun signed with Big Hit Music in 2007 as part of 8eight. Nineteen years later, he just renewed.

Lee Hyun renewed his contract with Big Hit Music on July 8. He's been with the same label since debut—19 consecutive years.
Back in 2007, the company was called Big Hit Entertainment. He joined as a member of co-ed group 8eight, which HIVE chairman Bang Si-hyuk produced. The group became one of the defining mixed-gender acts of the 2000s. 심장이 없어, 그 입술을 막아본다, 이별이 온다, and 사랑을 잃고 난 노래하네 remain classics from that era.
In 2010, Lee Hyun formed duo Homme with 2AM's Lee Chang-min. They scored a hit with 밥만 잘 먹더라. His solo track 내꺼중에 최고 charted well the following year.
2023 brought a new direction. Under the alter ego MIDNATT (미드낫), he released digital single Masquerade—recorded in six languages: Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Last year he put out his third mini-album A(E)ND and its title track 이쯤에서 널.
"Big Hit Music is my musical home and most reliable partner," Lee Hyun said. "Deep trust and respect for each other was the foundation."
Big Hit Music said it plans to "actively support Lee Hyun's activities" on the strength of that 19-year relationship. Lee Hyun added that he intends to meet fans more frequently through music and to "become a singer who never stops singing."
Big Hit Music's current roster includes BTS, TXT, and CORTIS.
