YOASOBI x UNIQLO UT collection returns after 5 years, dropping July 20

Five years after their 2021 debut with UNIQLO, YOASOBI is back with a second UT collection on July 20.

Four relaxed-fit t-shirts make up the drop. Four artists who've worked with the duo each designed one piece in their own style: animation, illustration, street art, SF visuals. Ai Niina (アイ ニイナ) is among them. A YOASOBI logo created for this collection appears on every shirt. What's available depends on your store location.

Ayase framed it simply: "If the first collection introduced YOASOBI as a music duo, this collection contains what YOASOBI wants to express now." ikura saw it differently—four artists each reading the group's five-year evolution through their own lens.

Why this matters: YOASOBI—composer Ayase and vocalist ikura—built themselves around turning novels into songs. Into The Night, their debut, pulled from the award-winning Thanatos no Yuwaku and topped the Billboard Japan annual chart in 2019. Their first EP THE BOOK sat at #1 on the Oricon digital album ranking for five straight weeks. Idol, the opening theme for anime Oshi no Ko, held #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 for 21 consecutive weeks, also hit #1 on both the Billboard Global (excluding US) chart and the Apple Music Global chart, and broke the record for shortest time to reach 1 billion streams. They performed at Coachella and Lollapalooza in 2024.

The collection drops at all UNIQLO stores nationwide and online on July 20.
