IOI's 'Suddenly' hits #1 on TOP100 and HOT100 as group reunites 10 years on

Suddenly (갑자기) landed at No. 1 on both the TOP100 and HOT100 charts simultaneously. For a group that disbanded after just eight months in 2016, this was the clearest chart signal yet.

Five members — Nayoung, Chungha, Sejeong, Doyeon, and Somi — appeared on MBC's Omniscient Interfering View (전지적 참견 시점) this past Saturday. It was the largest opening-segment cast in the show's history. The appearance followed a 10th anniversary concert at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium, where Pick Me (픽 미) was performed live for the first time in years.

IOI debuted through Mnet's Produce 101 in 2016. Ten years later, the members told the broadcast: "We do not think this is the end." Their manager added, "I am very grateful that the members worked hard on the 10th anniversary project, and I hope I can be a manager again next time."

(The dual chart-topper and the Jamsil sellout together make a pretty strong case that the fandom never really left.)
