ITZY's Yuna lands Netflix lead role in 'Don't Cross the Line'

ITZY's Yuna has landed the lead role in Netflix's Don't Cross the Line (담을 넘지 마시오), expanding what's already a packed acting schedule for the JYP Entertainment idol.

The drama follows two student body presidents—one from a boys' high school, one from a girls' high school—separated by a shared wall. They're rivals academically and pursuing first love under school rules that treat dating as an expulsion offense. Moon Sang-min and Cynthia were already attached before Yuna's casting.

Industry insiders say the role drew intense audition interest from emerging actors. Yuna won out because of her existing fandom and public recognition.

She debuted in 2019 as ITZY's youngest member. This year alone she's racked up three acting credits: a special appearance in tvN's Undercover Miss Hong (언더커버 미쓰홍), a supporting role in My Favorite Employee (최애의 사원) arriving in the second half of the year, and now this lead. No prior screen work. Three projects in one calendar year.

Her ITZY groupmate Ryujin is on a similar trajectory. Eight years into her career with the group, she's announced lead roles in three films this year—Shaving (면도), Night on Earth (지상의 밤), and High School Detective (고딩형사).

TWICE's Jeongyeon recently met with Baroent Entertainment. (G)I-DLE's Miyeon debuted in 2018 and built early experience through web dramas before a special appearance in tvN's The Company That Sees Fate (운명을 보는 회사원). She's now the lead in the new season of Cheongdam International High School (청담국제고등학교).
