After 14 years together, actor Jung Kyung-ho and Girls' Generation's Choi Soo-young have split. Both agencies confirmed the breakup on June 9.

Actor Jung Kyung-ho (43) and Girls' Generation member Choi Soo-young (36) have ended their relationship after approximately 14 years. Both agencies confirmed the split on June 9.
Saram Entertainment, Soo-young's agency, said the breakup is correct and that "they decided to remain as good colleagues." Management Oreum, Jung Kyung-ho's agency, also confirmed the split.
They met at a church gathering while at Chung-Ang University's Department of Theater and Film, where they were seniors and juniors. The two became a couple in September 2012 and went public in January 2014 when dating rumors surfaced and both sides confirmed them. For over a decade they were together openly, widely regarded as one of the entertainment industry's most enduring couples. Busy schedules reportedly contributed to the estrangement.
Jung Kyung-ho debuted in 2003 as a KBS 20th-batch public recruitment talent. His credits include Wise Doctor's Life, One Hundred Scandals, Sorry, I Love You, and Prison Playbook. He is currently preparing his next drama, Tempting Romance (혹하는 로맨스).
Choi Soo-young debuted with Girls' Generation in 2007 and has built a parallel acting career. Her roles include If You Wish Upon Me and Please Don't Date Him (금주를 부탁해). She is set to take the stage in the play The Merchant of Venice in July and is also considering a role in the new KBS 2TV weekend drama I'm Home from School (학교 다녀왔습니다).
