Lee Chan-won's '찬란' tops 610,000 first-week sales, his third consecutive half-million seller

Lee Chan-won's regular 2nd album 찬란 (燦爛) moved approximately 610,000 copies in initial sales. That beats his regular 1st album ONE and mini 2nd album bright；燦, setting a new personal sales record and marking his third consecutive half-million seller.

The title track 오늘은 왠지 (Today for Some Reason) hit No. 1 on Bugs's real-time music chart and grabbed a music program win in 2025. He's built a string of chart-toppers: 편의점 gave him his first music broadcast No. 1. Self-composed 참 좋은 날 spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on a music program and entered its Hall of Fame. 풍등 and 밥 한 번 먹자 each claimed broadcast wins. His 2024 single 하늘 여행 was noted as the first trot track to reach No. 1 on music broadcasts in some time.

Lee Chan-won debuted after placing 3rd in the final of 내일은 미스터트롯 in 2020. His discography now spans four releases: ONE, mini album ..선물, bright；燦, and 찬란. (The half-million streak across all three post-debut full and mini albums is the cleaner story.)

He's currently running the nationwide concert tour series 찬가 alongside festival appearances, and holds regular slots on 불후의 명곡 and 신상출시 편스토랑. His fandom, CHAN'S (찬스), joined him in donating over 200 million won to an organization supporting hearing-impaired people on his birthday.
