Moon Chae-won posted wedding concept photos on June 11 — veil, ring, the works. The timing lands just before her lead role in the 2026 film Heartman, where she plays Bona, a woman who reunites with her first love from university. Her first romantic comedy.

She debuted in 2007 with the drama Run! Mackerel (달려라! 고등어) and spent the next two decades building a name across film and television. The Bow (최종병기 활) remains her biggest box office draw—she played Choi Ja-in, handling bow action sequences alongside dramatic work, and the film drew approximately 7.48 million viewers. Three other films crossed the one-million-viewer mark: Today's Love (오늘의 연애), Feng Shui (명당), and The Day (그날의 분위기).

On television, her role as Lee Se-ryung in The Princess' Man (공주의 남자) earned high ratings and multiple acting awards. She played Seo Eun-gi in The Innocent Man (세상 어디에도 없는 착한남자) and Cha Yoon-seo in medical drama Good Doctor (굿 닥터). Most recently, she took the role of military prosecutor Park Jun-kyung in SBS's Law School (법쩐) and won the Best Actress award in the miniseries genre/action category at the SBS Drama Awards.

Beyond scripted work: she appeared in the 2025 horror film Gwishi (귀시) as Lee Chae-won, voiced detective Shin Ji-ho in audio movie Floor (층), and sat in as special DJ on MBC FM4U's Brunch Café (브런치카페). She's been on Running Man and as special MC on My Ugly Duckling (미운 우리 새끼). Both Tteummanyamyeon Season 4 (틈만나면 시즌4) and My Ugly Duckling are on her 2026 schedule.
