Seventeen's new unit V8 (The 8 & Vernon) drops concept teaser, mini album due June 29

Seventeen's new sub-unit V8 — The 8 (디에잇) and Vernon — dropped a concept teaser film on June 9 via the HYBE Labels YouTube channel and Seventeen's official SNS, previewing their debut mini album V8, due June 29.

The teaser is titled peek at V8 (V8을 훔쳐보다). Its concept centers on "consumed youth" (소모된 청춘): the wandering and confusion of the past, alongside moments of recovery and growth buried within them. The 8 and Vernon steered the album's production themselves, pulling in Pharrell Williams, BUMZU, KIRARA, Mechatok, and Dylan Brady to collaborate.

A live run is already locked in. 2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE kicks off July 11–12 at KINTEX Hall 1 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. From there it heads to AsiaWorld Expo Hall 10 in Hong Kong for July 17–19. The Hong Kong leg started as two dates. Ticket sales moved so fast that a third show on July 17 got added to meet demand.
