BBGIRL drops 'BODY WAVE'; UNIS sets July 31 Japan mini-album date; TXT Yeonjun's solo album moves 738,072 copies in week one.
BBGIRL released BODY WAVE on July 16. It's their latest comeback since debuting in 2011.
Tropical synths meet moombahton rhythms and brass over the members' vocals—pure summer. The music video features broadcaster Kwon Hyuk-soo and comedian Hong Sung-hyun as celebrity cameos.
UNIS is dropping their first Japanese mini-album UNI☆Sparkle! on July 31. The title track GimmeSummer☆ (ギミサマ☆) centers on girls juggling love and friendship at once, wrapped in a Y2K-inflected Japanese pop sound. The group formed through audition program Universe Ticket and debuted in March 2024.
TXT's Yeonjun moved 738,072 copies of his second solo album NO LABELS: PART 02 in its first week on the Hanteo Chart after dropping it July 10. That's the biggest first-week solo sales figure by any Korean solo artist this year. His title track Ice Cream generated over 67,000 TikTok videos using its audio by 10 AM on July 17 and ranked second in Instagram's trending audio chart that same day.
