BTS world tour: Tottenham, Paris, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show

BTS wrapped their European world tour with two nights at Stade de France in Paris on July 17 and 18. The next day, they fly to the United States to perform at the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA North/Central America World Cup final.

The Paris dates capped a European run that swung through Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. That show left a mark: 아리랑 jumped 16 positions on the UK Official Albums Top 100 in the week of July 10–16, landing at 21st.

The album has now spent 17 consecutive weeks on that chart. It peaked at number 1 in its debut week (March 27–April 2). On the mid-year tally—the Official Biggest Albums of 2026 So Far, published July 16 and covering physical CD sales, digital downloads, and audio/video streaming from January onward—아리랑 sits at 20th. Michael Jackson's THRILLER is one place behind at 21st. Of the six acts with 2026 new releases to make the top 40, the others include Drake, Harry Styles, and Olivia Rodrigo. Official Charts called 아리랑 "the best-performing K-pop project on the UK Official Charts so far in 2026."

On Spotify's Weekly Top Albums Global chart, the album has held at number 2 for five straight weeks. Across 17 weeks on that chart, BTS alternated between first and second, reaching number 1 nine times—the most of any artist in 2026. Five tracks from the album—SWIM, Body to Body, 2.0, Hooligan, and Come Over—have charted on the weekly songs chart. SWIM re-entered the Physical Singles chart.

A Korean-language version of NORMAL dropped July 17. By 9 AM KST on July 18, it had reached number 1 on iTunes Top Songs in 69 countries and regions, including the US, UK, Germany, and Brazil.

아리랑 also appears on the Official Albums Streaming, Official Vinyl Albums, Official Album Sales, and Official Physical Albums charts. (The vinyl chart entry matters for a group whose fanbase spans every format.)

BTS—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—released 아리랑 in March 2026 under Big Hit Music. It was their first full-group album since completing mandatory military service. Suga's discharge in June 2025 marked the end of that cycle, which began with Jin in 2022.
