Two weeks into his solo debut, Evan (formerly ENHYPEN's Lee Hee-seung) explained his name change and recalled a Han River busking set that brought traffic to a standstill.

Evan — formerly Lee Hee-seung of ENHYPEN — released his debut solo single RIDE OR DIE on June 22. Two weeks later, he appeared on MBC FM4U's Jeong-hui alongside singer Solbi on July 8.
He left ENHYPEN in March and switched to the stage name Evan (EVAN). On air, he fielded the question he says follows him constantly: "When people ask 'why did you choose the name Evan', it's similar to asking 'why are you Lee Hee-seung'." The answer was straightforward. He traveled abroad frequently growing up, so Evan was simply his English name all along.
The single has two tracks: RIDE OR DIE and B-side Overflow. Evan wrote and composed both.
During the interview, he described a busking performance at a small dome-shaped venue by the Han River after his debut. "Despite it being a solo debut, so many people came," he said. Passersby gathered as he performed. Host Kim Shin-young had watched it unfold from a different vantage point — her company's office overlooks the venue. "It was almost like Coachella. You couldn't call it busking. There was a lot of traffic... I couldn't get in. I wondered what was going on."
