Paul Kim cheers on Kihyun's 'BORDERLINE' as his Japan single hits Oricon and Billboard Japan

Paul Kim's been everywhere lately. On the 9th, he posted "기현이 borderline 많관부" — pushing fans toward Kihyun's EP BORDERLINE — with the 나혼밤 Before the Night Ends logo visible behind him in the photo.

The timing lined up with Paul Kim's own Japanese original single Zombie Loves Matcha hitting Oricon and Billboard Japan Chart simultaneously. His first chart placement in the Japanese market. He also wrapped his first fan meeting in Japan after the album dropped.

Back in Korea, he stepped into the host chair at KBS Cool FM for 폴킴의 가요광장 (Paul Kim's Song Plaza) following the station's reorganization. First broadcast aired May 11.

This flurry sits atop a resume most artists would envy. 모든 날, 모든 순간 (Every Day, Every Moment) hit No. 3 on both Melon's and Gaon's annual charts, landed in the top 10 for two straight years, and racked up 300 million streams on Gaon Chart for triple platinum. The Hotel del Luna OST 안녕 (Goodbye) sat at No. 1 on Melon's weekly chart for four weeks straight and topped the monthly chart in 2019. 너를 만나 (Meeting You) from 2018 reached No. 1 on Melon's November monthly chart and held a top spot for over a year.

Between 2018 and 2022 he collected OST Music Award, OST Music Style Award, Best OST Award, Golden Ticket Awards Best Indie Musician Award, Male Vocalist of the Year, Solo Artist Award, Top Music Award, Digital Music Division Award, Long-Run Music Award of the Year, Male Vocalist Award, and a commendation from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. He debuted in 2014 with 커피 한 잔 할래요 (Coffee, Would You Like Some?) and released his second full-length album 마음, 둘 (Heart, Two) in 2020.
