Before enlisting on the 21st, the actor revealed a 2021 incident on 'You Quiz on the Block'—and why he turned down a commendation.

Lee Jun-young appeared on You Quiz on the Block ahead of his military enlistment on the 21st. The preview dropped on the 8th with a headline that writes itself: "Strong Chairman Jun-young's Roller Coaster Emotions Before Enlistment."
The standout moment covers August 2021. He was driving home after a schedule when he spotted a suspected drunk driver near Jangan Bridge on Jungnang Stream in Seoul. He called police—"the car ahead seems to be driving under the influence"—and then followed. For nearly an hour. He was on the phone with his agency head when he spotted the vehicle, told him "hyung, I need to do something for a moment," hung up, and gave chase. His reasoning: "Rather than having an accident with another car, hit my car." Police found the vehicle with his cooperation. The driver was confirmed to be intoxicated.
When police offered him a commendation, he declined. He didn't want an award just because the story had gone public.
This wasn't his first time stepping in. On KBS2's Problem Children in the Rooftop Room (aired May of last year), he described chasing down a hit-and-run driver on foot after a vehicle clipped his acquaintance at an outdoor table and drove off. Asked whether he can't stand injustice, he said: "When I was young, I seemed fearless. Not knowing what would unfold ahead, I would charge forward whenever I saw injustice."
The broadcast will include the actual police report recording and the full account of the tense one-hour pursuit. Also on the episode: military life advice from actor Song Kang, who has already completed his service, and a dance stage Lee Jun-young prepared as his final pre-enlistment performance.
On his feelings heading into enlistment, he was candid: "It felt like riding a roller coaster. While filming, I suddenly felt down—and even though it wasn't an emotional scene, I suddenly felt moved. So the trouble of re-filming increased a bit." He also admitted he once thought "I shouldn't live like that" about certain adults, then caught himself: "But those people also went and came back, right? What is there that I can't do?"
Lee Jun-young joined U-KISS as an additional member before building his acting career. The episode airs the evening of the 8th.
